*Western Railway Recruitment 2024 Note: (1t) Priority will be given to Specialist doctor. If eligible Specialist CMPs are not available GDMO will be considered/posted against the specialist post of CMPs.
(2t ) If any of the CMP who has worked in reference to earlier notification shall be given preference over other above.
Western Railway Recruitment 2024 Age Limit:
Not exceeding 53 years as on 01.02.2024 which is relax able by 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST and 3 years to OBC categories against SC/ST & OBC vacancy respectively.

| 1 | The selected candidates will be engaged on contract terms up to one year, subject to the extension of the validity of the Scheme for contractual appointment of CMP by Railway Board. |
| 2 | Selected candidates may be required to work in Isolation and Quarantine wards of Railway Hospital, if necessary. |
| 3 | The decision of the office regarding eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, penalty for false information, selection, and allotment of posts will be final. No enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Forged certificates may lead to rejection. |
| 4 | Doctors serving under State/Central Govt. /Public Sector undertaking etc. must apply with NOC from their respective organizations/current employer. |
| 5 | Doctors should indicate their post, service rendered, and the period of contract on Indian Railways & other govt. hospitals, etc. Verification of the maximum limit of annual terms on Indian Railway will be done before engagement. |
| 6 | Retired Govt. Doctors up to the age of 65 years may apply for CMP against existing regular vacancies on a fixed remuneration, subject to the condition that remuneration + Pension drawn by the Retired Govt. Doctor should not exceed the last pay drawn. |
| 7 | Monthly remuneration for General Duty Medical Practitioner/Officer is Rs. 75,000/– |
| 8 | Monthly remuneration includes HRA @ Rs.10098/-. If Railway accommodation is provided, an amount equivalent to HRA and license fee of the accommodation shall be deducted from the monthly remuneration. |
| 9 | The number of posts and places specified above are subject to change based on actual vacancies available at the time of engagement. |
| 10 | Engagement of Doctors on contract basis may change on joining of doctors through UPSC. |
| 11 | The Railway Administration reserves the right to deploy/transfer selected CMPs anywhere on Ahmedabad Division based on service exigency. Refusal shall be deemed misconduct. |
| 12 | The contract can be terminated by the Railway at any time during the contract by giving 15 days’ notice without assigning any reason. |
| 13 | Contract medical practitioners will not have any claim or right for continuity in service or automatic extension of the contract term. Services rendered as a full-time contract Doctor will not affect regularization or absorption. |
| 14 | SC/ST/Ex-serviceman/OBC candidates may apply with necessary caste certificates. OBC candidates must submit a certificate to show they do not belong to the Creamy Layer. |
| 15 | If suitable candidates are not found in the specialist CMP Category, posts may be filled with GDMO CMP, and they will be paid remuneration of GDMO. |
| 16 | No private practice or any other employment will be permitted during the contract period. |
| 17 | Eligible candidates should apply in the enclosed prescribed format (Annexure-I) and attend the Walk-in-Interview on the specified date, time, and place with all required documents. |
| 18 | Walk-in-Interview details: Board Room of Divisional Railway Manager’s office, Opp. Gujarat Cancer Society’s General Hospital (GCS), Naroda Road, Ahmedabad-380 025 (Gujarat). Date: 13/03/2024 (Wednesday) Time: 09:30 A.M. |
| 19 | All candidates should report at 9:30 A.M. on the mentioned date, time & place. No separate intimation will be given for the interview. Registration will be done up to 12 pm on the same date. |
| 20 | All terms & conditions of Railway Board shall be binding on Contract Medical Practitioner. |
| 21 | In case of any dispute, the English language notification will be deemed final. |
| 22 | The notification is available on the Railway website and the Ahmedabad Division site. |
